From the office profile, click on the Team Rules and Settings tab on the left of the page. From there, you will find a section called Team Criminal Record Check Rules. With the appropriate access rights, you can edit and add new rules.
Adding a New Rule
To add a new rule, click Edit, then on the next page, click Add new Rule.
This will bring you to the page where you can add a new Team CRC Rule. You may choose the Division, Position, and select all, none, or individual Categories. For example, if your rule is for the Adult division, all Categories, and the Coach position, this means that when a participant is added to a team in the Adult division in any category as a Coach, the rule will trigger.
- If left unchecked, and the participant attempting to be added to the roster does not have a valid CRC, the user will get a warning message that they can acknowledge and continue to place him/her to on the team.
- If checked, when attempting to add that same participant, they will get an error message and the participant cannot be added to the team.
Here are the validation messages that will appear when attempting to add a participant to a team when CRC settings are either configured or not configured on a team, and if the participant holds a current and valid CRC/VSC or Declaration.
When Adding a Single Participant to a Team from the Participant Profile
When there are NO rules configured on the team:
When there are no rules configured on the team and you attempt to add a participant from the participant profile for a particular position/division, this message will appear at the bottom of the page, just above the Add button.
When rules are configured and the participant is valid:
When the participant in question has the valid CRC requirements to be added from the team and you are adding from the participant profile, you will see this message appear:
When rules are configured BUT NOT ENFORCED and the participant's CRC status is expired or missing:
If you attempt to add a participant that has missing or expired CRC data, you will see the following message. Since the rule(s) are not enforced, you may still add the participant to the team.

When rules are either not configured or the participant has a valid CRC:
If the participant has a valid CRC requirement, or if no rules are configured for the office the team belongs to, you will notice a green message stating that valid participants can be added to the team.
